It’s been a busy few months, can’t believe we are fast approaching Autumn. I am currently working at Curve Leicester which I do fairly often. I’m here setting up the Autumn season which consists of ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’, ‘Buried Child’ and ’42nd Street’ so something for everyone.
As well as that I am touring an evening of Comedy in Baroque Theatres ‘Triple Bill’ of ‘Bang you’re Dead’ in which I play Marcus a two timing burglar, ‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’ where I take the role of Gordon, the beleagured chairman of an amateur dramatic society and the sequel ‘Last Panto in Little Grimley’ where I get to give one of my old Dame costumes a summer outing!
If you haven’t been to Curve Theatre in Leicester I urge you to come along, It’s a fantastic new theatre placed in the heart of Leicesters cultural quarter. It’s a wonderful ‘inside out’ theatre where the performance spaces are in the centre of the building surrounded by a walkway which separates them from the office areas. The side walls of the theatre (all 33 tons each) can ascend after the show so that the exiting audience can see across the stage and discover the workings of the show they’ve just seen. It’s quite an exciting space.
If you’d like to catch me in the comedy triple bill you can follow the link on the right to Baroque Theatres website.
