It’s hard to believe that only one week into this years production of Snow White and the ‘Severn’ Dwarfs that tickets have already gone on sale for next years production of Mother Goose!

I’ve never played Mother Goose before but it’s one I’ve wanted to play for a long time. The first version of Mother Goose as a Pantomime was performed at Drury Lane in 1902. It was written by J.Hickory Wood who created a new script especially for the leading comedian of the day, Dan Leno. When the pantomime was written it told the story that we know today, and created the biggest part for a Dame in any pantomime.

Tickets went on sale over the weekend and unbelievably are being snapped up already, it’s going to be a ‘cracker’….I promise that’ll be my only egg yolk…I mean joke (sorry)

Tickets available from the Theatre Severn Box office here theatresevern.co.uk
